AN ACT concerning

Advisory Commission on Federal-State-Local
Relations - Membership

FOR the purpose of altering the name of the Advisory Commission
on Federal-Local Relations to be the Advisory Commission on
Federal-State-Local Relations; increasing the membership of
the Commission; providing for the appointment and terms of
certain members; and generally relating to the membership of
the Advisory Commission on Federal-State-Local Relations.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - State Government

2-907.

There is an Advisory Commission on [Federal-Local]
FEDERAL-STATE-LOCAL Relations.

2-908.

(a)  The Commission consists of [an equal number of senators
and delegates.

(b)  (1) The President shall appoint the senators on the
Commission.

(2) The Speaker shall appoint the delegates on the
Commission.] THE FOLLOWING 12 20 12 MEMBERS:

(1)  4 THE 8 4 SENATORS, APPOINTED BY THE PRESIDENT
OF THE SENATE WHO ARE MEMBERS OF THE JOINT COMMITTEE ON FEDERAL

RELATIONS , APPOINTED BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE;

(2)4 THE 8 4 DELEGATES, APPOINTED BY THE SPEAKER
OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES WHO ARE MEMBERS OF THE JOINT COMMITTEE

ON FEDERAL RELATIONS , APPOINTED BY THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE OF
DELEGATES;

(3)  AS EX OFFICIO MEMBERS:
