Services of Maryland
In reduction of the appropriation
shown on page 148 of the printed
bill (third reading file bill),
to reflect the diminished State
operational responsibilities for
blind vending as provided by and
contingent upon enactment of
Senate Bill 734 and/or House Bill
1605 establishing licensed blind
vendors as independent operators,
of the balance remaining after
this $100,000 reduction, $263,783
shall be paid to Blind Industries
and Services of Maryland or other
organizations as determined by
the State Department of Education
for the specific initial purpose
of paying off accrued liabilities
of the blind vending program and
after satisfying all such accrued
liabilities to pay out the
remaining balance for the general
purpose of blind vendor current
program subsidy.
