Before adopting the suggested general development plan or
any part thereof or any amendment, extension, or addition
thereto, the Council shall hold at least one public hearing
within Baltimore City and one each within Anne Arundel,
Baltimore, Carroll, Harford, and Howard counties. At least two
notices of the time and place of each hearing shall be published,
the first notice not less than thirty days in advance thereof and
the second notice not less than fifteen days in advance thereof
in a newspaper of general circulation in the particular political
subdivision. At least thirty days' notice of each respective
hearing shall be given in writing, and accompanied by the
specific matter to be considered at such hearing, to the Mayor of
Baltimore City, the county [executive of Anne Arundel County, the
county executive of Baltimore County] EXECUTIVES OF ANNE ARUNDEL,
BALTIMORE, HARFORD, AND HOWARD COUNTIES, and the [respective]
president of the [boards] BOARD of county commissioners of
[Carroll, Harford, and Howard counties] CARROLL COUNTY, THE
RESPECTIVE CHAIRPERSON OF THE ANNE ARUNDEL, BALTIMORE, AND HOWARD
COUNTY COUNCILS, AND THE PRESIDENT OF THE HARFORD COUNTY COUNCIL.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1984.

AN ACT concerning

Bank Service Corporations

FOR the purpose of granting to banking institutions the power to
invest in bank service corporations and have bank services
performed for them to the extent permitted under federal
law; detailing the procedure by which a banking institution
receives approval from the Bank Commissioner to acquire a
bank service corporation; providing that the Bank
Commissioner may examine the business of a bank service
corporation; and relating generally to bank service
corporations.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
