ASSEMBLY AND ARE INTENDED FOR SUBMISSION TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY
AT ITS NEXT SESSION.

(2)  BEFORE THAT SESSION OF THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY, THE
COMMITTEE SHALL PREPARE A REPORT THAT INCLUDES THOSE BILLS,
RESOLUTIONS, AND RECOMMENDATIONS AND THE REPORTS THAT RELATE TO
THEM.

(3)  THE COMMITTEE SHALL:

(I)  SUBJECT TO § 2-1312 OF THIS TITLE, SUBMIT
THIS REPORT TO THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY; AND

(II)  SEND THIS REPORT TO EACH OTHER ELECTED
STATE OFFICER AND TO THE STATE LAW LIBRARY.

REVISOR'S NOTE: Subsection (a) of this section is new
language derived without substantive change from the
second and third clauses of the first sentence of
former Art. 40, § 36.

Subsection (b) of this section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 40, §§
28(2) and 37.

In subsection (b)(1) of this section, the reference to
recommendations "that are submitted to" the Committee
is added to reflect § 2-1103 of this title, which
requires standing committees to submit their
recommendations to the Legislative Policy Committee
"[i]f time permits".

Also in subsection (b)(1) of this section, the former
reference to making the report "public" is deleted as
unnecessary in light of § 10-612 of this article.

2-410. STUDIES BY AND PROPOSALS OF GOVERNMENTAL UNITS.

EACH OFFICER AND UNIT OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT SHALL:

(1)  WITHIN THE AMOUNTS MADE AVAILABLE BY
APPROPRIATION, CONDUCT ANY STUDY THAT THE COMMITTEE REQUESTS; AND

(2)  SUBMIT TO THE COMMITTEE ANY RECOMMENDATION OR
PROGRAM THAT THE OFFICER OR UNIT EXPECTS TO SUBMIT TO THE GENERAL
ASSEMBLY AT ITS NEXT SESSION AND EACH STUDY OR REPORT THAT
RELATES TO THE RECOMMENDATION OR PROGRAM.
