788 The Court Adjournes till the first Tuesday in March next Maryland fs Anne by the Grace of God of Great Brittain France and Ireland Queen Defender of the Faith &c.a Whereas Richard Bennett Adm.r of the Last will and Testament of John Huntt Gent deceased hath lately Exhibitted his Bill of Compl.t in our high Court of Chancery before our Trusty and welbeloved John Seymour Esq our late Cap.t Generall and Governour and keeper of the Great Seal of our Province of Maryland against Arthur Young Whereby he hath sett forth that a Certain John Huntt in his life time whose Adm.r is Ric.d Bennett of Queen Anns County who was a Considerable Trader from England the West Indies and other places into this province & among other his dealings had Considerable Quantitys of Rum Sugar Mollasses Contens and other West India Comoditys from Barbados & the Leward Islands and some Europen Goods likewise come into this province & his Concerns being so great did from time to time Imploy severall Factors under him to sell & dispose of his said Comoditys and among the rest had for sev.ll Years last past Imployed the said Arthur Young of Calvert County into whose hands he from time to time put great and Considerable Quantitys of the Comoditys afd to be by him sold as a Factor & an Exact and fair account thereof to be Rendred But that so it is that the said John Huntts papers being dispersed some in England some in Virginia & some Else where so that the said Richar Bennett cannot forme an Exact Account of the severall Cargoes Comitted by the said John Hunt in his life time to the Said Arthur Young so as to Charge him in an Action of Account or otherwise in Comon Law & is now only & |
