Code of the Town of Cheverly, Maryland
Changes in Article VII, Section C-23A of
the Charter "Powers" by Amending Subsection
C-23A(28) and Adding a New Subsection C-23A{29)
WHEREAS the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of
Cheverly, Maryland find it desirable to incorporate the
powers granted by Section 3, Article 23A of the Annotated
Code of Maryland relative to municipal infractions into the
Charter of the Town of Cheverly, and;
Whereas specific action is needed to amend the Charter
to do this.
[Section C-23A(28) of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Prince George's County, as found in the 1963 Edition and
1967 Supplement, repealed and reenacted, with amendments.
Section C-23A(29) added.

Resolution for Annexation to the Corporate
Boundaries of Cheverly, Maryland
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Town Council of Cheverly,
Maryland are of the considered opinion that it would be in
the best interest of the Town of Cheverly, Maryland, to
annex the hereinafter described tract of ground; and
WHEREAS, the majority owner of said tract on which no
persons are now residing, the Washington Metropolitan Area
Transit Authority, is agreeable to the incorporation of the
hereinafter described tract of ground within the boundaries
of the Town of Cheverly, Maryland.
[Section C-5.2 of the Charter of Cheverly, Prince
George's County, as found in the 1963 Edition and 1967
Supplement, added.
