FOR the purpose of requiring that a person, who tows or
stores certain vehicles, give certain notice to the
registered owner and any record lienholders of the

May 26, 1977
Honorable Steny H. Hoyer
President of the Senate
State House

Dear Mr. President:
In accordance with Article II, Section 17 of the
Maryland Constitution, I have today vetoed Senate Bill
831.
This bill requires a person who tows or stores
certain motor vehicles to notify the vehicle owner and
certain other persons that the vehicle has been towed or
stored.
You have requested, as the bill's sponsor, that I
veto this measure.
For this reason, I have decided to veto Senate Bill
831.
