BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
Article 43 - Health
Section 503(b) 508(a)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 503(b) 508(a) of Article 43 -
Health, of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971
Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be and it is
hereby repealed and reenacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

|
(b) There shall be paid to the secretary treasurer
of the State Board of Chiropractic Examiners by each
applicant for a license, a fee of [fifty dollars
($50.00)] $100, [$25.00] $50 of which shall accompany the
application and the remaining [$25.00] $50 shall be paid
upon issuance of license. Like fees shall be paid for
any subsequent examination and application.

508.
(a) All persons holding a license issued by the
Maryland State Board of Chiropractic Examiners, whether a
resident of this State or of some other state, shall pay
on or before the first day of September of each year,
after a license is issued to them, as herein provided, to
said Board of Chiropractic Examiners, a renewal license
fee as determined by the Board of Chiropractic Examiners
and approved by the Secretary of Health and Mental
Hygiene NOT TO BE LESS THAN $20. The secretary-treasurer
shall, thirty days or more before September 1st of each
year, mail to all chiropractors holding a Maryland
license a notice of the fact that the renewal fee will be
due on or before the first day of September, and the
Board shall furnish to each chiropractor a "renewal
form." Nothing in this subtitle shall be construed so as
to require that the receipts shall be recorded as
original licenses are required to be recorded.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
|
