WHEREAS, In paragraph (3) of subsection (d) in §17D,
added in Article 88A by Chapter 904, Acts of 1976, a
comma should appear following "Article 100" both times
the latter appears in that paragraph.
Near the beginning of §91, added in Article 88A by
Chapter 637, Acts of 1976, the word "chapter" should be
"subtitle"; now, therefore,
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 17D(d)(3) and 91 of Article 88A -
Social Services Administration, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and 1976 Supplement) be
and they are hereby repealed and reenacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:
Article 88A - Social Services Administration
17D.
(d) The rebate will apply if the student is:
(3) Paid at least the minimum wage and
overtime rate established in [Article 100] ARTICLE 100,
§83, or if appropriate, [Article 100] ARTICLE 100, §82(e)
for purposes of the Maryland Wage and Hour Law.
91.
As used in this [chapter] SUBTITLE, "displaced
homemaker" is an individual who:
(a) Is over 35;
(b) Has worked for his or her family in the family
home;
(c) Is not gainfully employed;
(d) Has had, or would have, difficulty finding
employment; and
(e) (1) Has depended on the income of a family
member and has lost that income as the result of
separation, divorce, or the death or disability of that
family member; or
(2) Has depended on government assistance as
the parent of dependent children and is no longer
eligible for such assistance.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1977.
|
