36 Sum of Sixteen hundred and five Pounds which the Said James Tootell and Joseph Douson have paid to Thomas Harwood Esquire Treasurer of the Western Shore And to the Commissioners aforesaid to wit the Sum of Two hundred and Seventy nine Pounds Two Shillings and four Pence to the aforesaid Treasurer and the Sum of Thirteen hundred and seventy five Pounds Seventeen Shillings & Eight pence to the Commissioners afd Have Granted Bargained Sold aliened released and Confirmed and by these presents Do grant Bargain Sell alien release and Confirm unto the Said James Tootel and Joseph Douson the aforesaid Lott of ground Number Forty eight beginning at the first Line of George Shanks lott Number nine and running thence North Seventy five degrees West Thirty eight Perches Then North thirty eight degrees West Fifty perches Then North Eight degrees East One hundred and Eighty Seven Perches to the East Line of the Manor Then East Eighty four Perches then by a Straight Line to the beginning Containing One hundred and Eleven acres and the Aforesaid Lott of ground Number Seventy Beginning at the end of the Second Line Lott Number Forty eight in possession of John Hooft and running thence North Thirty eight degrees West Seventy Seven Perches Then North Sixty and a half degrees West Fifty Perches Then North Ninety eight Perches Then East one hundred and Sixteen Perches to the end of the Third Line of the Aforesaid Lott Number Forty eight then by a Straight line to the Beginning Containing Eighty nine acre more or Less (Saving the right of any under a Lease or Leases Granted by the Sole Proprietor of the Manor aforesaid) Together with all and Singular the Appurtenances to the Aforesaid Lotts belonging or in any wise appurtaining and the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof To have and to hold the aforesaid Two lots hereby bargained and Sold With their appurtenances (Saving the right before mentioned if any) unto them the Said James Tootell and Joseph Douson their heirs and Assigns forever In witness whereof the Parties hereto have hereunto Set their hands and seals the day and Year first above written Clement Hollyday (seal) Signed Sealed and delivered Nath Ramsey (seal) in presence of G Duvall (seal) A C Hanson On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Maryland fs On the 20.th day of November 1782 Came the within named Clement Hollyday Nathaniel Ramsey and Gabriel Duvall before the Subscriber One of the Judges of the General Court and acknowledged the within Instrument of writing to be their Act and Deed And the Lands & Premises therein mentioned to be the right Title and Estate of the within named James Tootell and Joseph Douson their Heirs and Assigns forever According to the True Intent and meaning thereof and the Acts of Assembly in Such Cases made and Provided A C Hanson Recorded the 3.d day of May 1783 |
