189 seventy two being part of my Ladys Manor aforesaid and containing thirty two Acres and three quarters of an Acre more or less (saving the right if any under a lease granted by the late Lord Baltimore formerly proprietor of the manor aforesaid) together with all and singular the advantages hereditaments privileges and appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or in any wise appertaining and also all the right Title and Estate Interest property claim & demand whatsoever which Henry Harford Esquire of Great Britain or any other person claiming under the late Lord Baltimore formerly had in and to the same and every part or parcel thereof and the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits thereof and of every part and parcel thereof To have and to hold the aforesaid lot of Ground with all and singular the premises and appurtenances (saving the right before mentioned if any) unto him the said Henry Gassaway his heirs and Assigns for ever and to and for no other use intent or purpose whatsoever In witness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto set their hands and affixed their Seals the day and year above written Signed Sealed and delivered in presence of Clement Hollyday (Seal) the words "in the year" being first interlined & Nat Ramsey (Seal) also the word "Lord" in the sixth line from the bottom A C Hanson On the back of the aforegoing deed was the following Endorsement to wit Maryland fs.t On the 24.th of Dec.r 1783 came before the Subscriber one of the Judges of the General Court the within named Clement Hollyday and Nathaniel Ramsey and acknowledged the within instrument of writing to be their Act and deed and the land and premises therein mentioned to be the right title and Estate of the within named Henry Gassaway his heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true intent and meaning thereof and the act of Assembly in such case made and provided A C Hanson 5¾ sides Recorded 15.th March 1784 Know all men by these presents that we Adam Fischer James Ogle Jacob Schley Abraham Faw George Schnertzell and Thomas Ogle are held and firmly bound unto the State of Maryland in the sum of twenty five thousand pounds Current money to be paid to the said State of Maryland to which payment well and truly to be made we bind ourselves our heirs Executors and Administrators and Assigns firmly by these presents In witness whereof we have hereunto sett our hands and seals this third day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty four The Condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Adam Fischer shall well and faithfully execute and perform the several duties required of him as Collectors of the tax for Frederick County according to Law then the above obligation to be void else to remain in full force Ad.m Fischer (seal) Signed Sealed & delivered in the presence of James Ogle (seal) Thomas Hawkins P Mantz George Jacob Schley (seal) Joshua Gist A Fau (seal) George Schnertzell (seal) 2 sides Thomas Ogle (seal) Recorded 17.th March 1784 |
