467 Maryland fs.t Be it remembered that on the twenty fourth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy three personnally appeared before me the Subscriber One of his Lordships Justices of the provincial Court the within named Thomas Lightfoot and Acknowledged the within Writing as his Act and Deed unto the within Named Walter Franklin and the Lands and premisses Goods Chattels rights and Credits in the same writing contained to be the right and Title of the said Walter Franklin his Heirs and Assigns for ever agreeable to the act of Assembly in such Case made and provided &c Taken before J Leeds April 24.th 1773 Received of M.r Walter Franklin the sum of one pound sixteen ^shillings^ and seven pence sterling for an Alienation fine due on the within Lands Mentioned in the within Deed lying in Maryland for the use of Lord Baltimore by Virtue of a Commission from Daniel of S.t Thomas Jenifer Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General Jn.o Brice Recorded the 24.th of April 1773 X.d This Indenture made this 22.d day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred and Seventy three Between John Goldsmith of S.t Marys County in the Province of Maryland of the One part and William Thomas of the County and Province aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Goldsmith for and in Consideration of the Sum of One hundred Pounds common Current Money to him in hand paid at and before the Ensealing and Delivery of these presents by the said William Thomas the receipt whereof the said John Goldsmith doth hereby acknowledge himself fully satisfied and Contented and paid as also for divers other good Causes and Considerations thereunto moving hath given granted Bargaind aliened Sold Enfeofed and Confirmed and by these presents doth Clearly and Absolutely give grant Bargain Sell and Confirm unto him the Said William Thomas his Heirs and Assigns for ever All that tract or parcel of Land lying and in Bashford Manner which was given by Thomas Notley Goldsmith to the said John Goldsmith as by the said Thomas Notley Goldsmith's Will bearing date the fourteenth day of April One Thousand seven hundred forty & six will more at large appear agreeable to the metes and bounds thereof Containing two Hundred Acres of Land be it more or less Together with all buildings Dwelling houses Barns Stables Tobacco Houses Gardens Orchards fences profits and appurtenances whatsoever to the same belonging or in any ways appurtaining To have and to hold the aforesaid parcel of Land and premises unto him the said William Thomas his Heirs and Assigns for ever and the said John Goldsmith his heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns doe Covenant and agree to and with the said William Thomas his heirs and Assigns that the said John Goldsmith shall and will at any time hereafter at the request of the said William Thomas his Heirs or Assigns Execute any ^other^ more Authentick instrument in the Law for the Better and more Sure make over and Conveying all their Rights title Interest and Claime whatsoever unto the aforesaid parcle of Land and premises unto him the said William Thomas his Heirs and Assigns for ever at his and their own proper Costs and Charges in the Law And that he the said William Thomas his |
