495) Determine and be utterly Void and of no effect otherwise to stand & Remain in full force and effect & Virtue In Wittness whereof the parties to these presents have hereunto interchangably set their hands & seales the day and year above written his Jn.o I P Pettycoate (se) mark On the back of the aforegoing deed was thus written Viz.t Signed Sealed and Delivered in presence of us Morgan Rogers Rob.t X Nutum Nath.l Pitts Mem.d on this day to witt the twenty Ninth Day of June seventeen hundred twenty three came Jn.o Pettycoat the pson w.thin named before me one of his Lordships Justices of the Prov.ll Court of Maryland and Did acknowledge this Deed and the Land and Premisses therein contained to be the Right and property of the w.thin named Tho.s Worthington his heirs and assignes forever according to the true Intent & Meaning thereof & act of assembly in that case made & provided alsoe at the same time Sarah Pettycoat ^the wife of the s.d John Pettycoat^ who being privately examined out of the hearing of her said husband freely and Volentarily Released her Right of Dower to the within Land & pmisses to the said Tho.s Worthington his heirs and assignes forever without the compultion fear or threats of her s.d husband according to the Direction of the act of assembly in that case made and provided Taken & Acknowledged before me y.e day and year above written being the 29.th day of June 1723 Recorded 7.th August 1723 Sam.ll Young |
