723 as possibly could be adjudged to avoid or barr survivorship or any other Claime that might be made by their or either of their heires for the time to come And it was concluded on by both partys that their being a Marked Oake with two Notches on three sides thereof & made the same day by both partys in the p.rsence of Garrett Vansweringen & two other witnesses since Dead from which Tree a line was to be drawne East to the uttermost bounds of Elizabeth Manno.r that lay beyond the Church land provided it tooke not in any part or Pcell of the Rich land that lyes by the runns of Water at the bottom of the Church hill & another line to runn West from the afd Tree to the uttermost bounds of the Cross Manno.r next to the Manno.r of S.t Inagoes to runn West from the afd Two which said Lynes were to be markt out & to be & remaine for a full division of both Mann.rs between the said Hall & Cordea & their heires for ever & for the Choosing & allotting each person his Divident a piece of mony was to be thrown up Cross or pile for the said Hall or Cordea to Choose which of the two Dividents of Land hoshould pitch upon for himself otherwise one of them to make Choice thereof without any lott & the Chooser to pay the other one thousand pounds of Tob.o That according to the said Articles of agreem.t the said Walter Hall made choice of the said Cross Manno.r And the said Cordea had the other called Elizabeth Mann.r both of them bounded & divided as afd That the said Mark Cordea being at the time of the Division made as afd an alien born he was afterwards that is to say at an Assembly begun & held at the City of St Marys the seventh day of March 1671 by Act of Assembly Naturalized by means whereof his disability & incapacity to hold by purchase was removed And he putt ^osterity^ into the Condition as if he had been born in England to hold the p.rmises according to the Division to him & his heires for ever And so accordingly he became seizd of the same in his Demesne as of Fee & hold the same so severally divided during his life And afterwards the said Mark Cordea upon the 27.th day of March 1685 made his last will & Testam.t in writing & concieving & imagining that his personall Estate & the two tracts of Land in his will mencond the one called Markes place cont seven hundred Acres lying in puttuxent river & The other called Rumly marsh lying ^in Pronokin in^ Somersett County containing about three hundred Acres both which parcells of Land he gave to his Ex.rs to be by them Sold for the paym.t of his debts & Legacys would be sufficient to discharge & satisfie the same & which he willd should be only paid he the said Cordea amongst other Legacys & bequests therein mencond did give & bequeath to his wife Hester Cordea all that tract or parcell of Land that he then lived on being part of the Cross Manno.r & Elizabeth Manno.r To have & to hold to the said Hester during her Naturall life & after her decease |
