       on behalfe of his said Majesty Henry Darnall and William Digges on the behalfe of
       the said Lord Prop.ry Cheife Governo.r aforesaid and the said Nehemiah Blackiston for
       himselfe and the said Samuel Cooper For and in Consideracon of the p.rmisses Doe by
       these p.rsents release and discharge the said guns tackle furniture amunicon and
       apparrell and goods aforesaid from the arrest Seizure accon Judgem.t and
       Condemnacon aforesaid And the said ship gunns tackle furniture amunicon and
       apparrell and the goods aforesaid Doe fully clearely and absolutely grant to the
       said John Woodside Master of the said shipp his Executo.rs and Assignes Witness
       our hands and Seales The                        day of Aprill in the Tenth yeare of the

             of Aprill in the Tenth yeare of the Dominion of the Right hon.ble Charles absolute Lord and
             Prop.ry of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemo.r &c.a Annoq.r
             Dm 1685 Before his Lopps Justices thereunto assigned for the heareing & determineing
             of all breaches of any Act or Acts of Parliam.t relateing to navigacon or Trade

       The Court being called the Comissioners Comanded the Comission (by vertue of w.ch they sate) to be read
       by the Clerke (viz.t Thomas Grunwin by the said Court appoynted) w.ch was accordingly done
       and followeth in these words viz.t

            Charles absolute Lord and Prop.ry of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord
       Baron of Baltemo.r &c To James Pattison and Garrat Vanswearingen Gentlemen greeting
       Whereas wee are informed That there are and may be severall shipps now in this Province and
       in Probabillity may come in herafter That have set farr transgressed his Majestys Acts of
       Parliament that the same are and may be lyable to informacons for the same and for that there
       cann be nothing more advantagious to the trade of this Province thereto make aquiet
       dispatch of the proceedings of Maritime affaires whereby they may not lye long in suspence and
       putt the partys unto uncecessarys charge by dilatory proceedings and being very well assured
       of yo.r Judgem.ts abillitys honestys and understanding in such like affaires Have deputed
       impowred constituted and ordained you the said James Pattison and Garrat Vansweringen To be
       Judges of a Speciall Court of Oyer and Terminer for the tryall condemnacon or acquittall
       of such shipp or shipps vessell or vessells as you shalbe informed of and made knowne to be
       calpable in transgressing against his Majestys lawes of Navigacon and other lawes that
       relate to his Majestys Customes Together with their gunns tackle furniture amunicon apparrell
       and goods and merchandizes which shall be imported contrary to the said lawes And alsoe to
