295) 304 Be it knowne unto all Men by these presents that I Gabriell Minviellee of the Citye of New yorke Merchant have made ordained Constituted and appointed my very Loveing friend William Van Blankenstyn of the City of S.t Maryes in the Province of Maryland March.t to be my True and Lawfull Attorny for me and in my name and to my proper use and behoofe to aske demand sue for Recover and Receive all and Every such sum and summes of mony or tobacco as are due unto me from any person or persons whatsoever Inhabeting Rendring or being in the Province of Maryland or Virginia Either by bill bond booke debt or accop.t or by any manner of way or means whatsoever Giveing and by these presents granting unto my said Attorny full pouer to sue arrest atach Implead Imprison and out of Prison to deliver acquittances or discharges Lawfully in my name to give & one or more Attornyes to make as ocasion shall require And the same to Revoke hereby Ratifieing Confirming and alloweing all and whatsoever my said Attorny shall Lawfully doe or cause to be done in or about the Execution of the premissess In wittness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and seale this Twelfth day of Septem.r in New Yorke Annoq Domj 1683 Sealed and delivred G Minvielley (sealed) in the p.rsnce of Edward Pye Robert Ganyalira Cornelius Boutwell his markes writt w.t his own hand Janury 23.d 1683/4 Then came the Hono.bl Edward Pye Esq.r one of the wittnesses to the above written Instrum.t and Cornelius Boutwell another wittness to the above said Instrument and did acknowledge to have seen the above written Gabriell Minvieller signe seale and deliver the above said Instrum.t as his act and deed in wittness whereof I have hereunto sett my hand W.m Digges September 22.d 1684 Then Came William Hill of S.t Maryes County and desired that the marke of his Hoggs and Cattle might be Recorded which is as follow viz.t A swallow Forke in the left Eare and a Cropp and three slitts in the Right Eare Maryland fs To all Christian People to whome these presents shall come or the same shall soe Read or hear Know ye that I Richard Peacock of the County of Talbot in the Province of Maryland Merchant have Nominated Constituted and appointed and by these presents Doe Nominate Constitute and appoint and in my stead and place Authorize and putt my Trusty and well beloved friend John Rousby of the same County aforesaid Gent My true and Certain Lawfuill and undoubted Attorny Procurator and actor (as well absent as present) of all my Concernes of this Province of Maryland or Virginia of what Nature kind or quality whatsoever they are and alsoe to aske Require Recover and Receive in my Name and to my use of all and Every person & persons whatsoever all such debts sum & summes of Monyes or tobaccos as are now oweing or may in any way accrue and be due to me the said Richard by Reason of any debts bonds Bills Contracts Reckonings accomp.ts or other Ingedgements whatsoever made to me before the makeing of these presents Giveing and by these presents Granting unto my said Attorny Procurator and Actor my whole and full pouer and Authority in the premisses (if need shall Require) in any Court or courts whatsoever to sue persue Implead prosecute arrest seize sequester attach Imprison and Condemn his said debtors all or any of them their goods & Chattells and them againe to Release and discharge and alsoe to compound or to seale and deliver acquittances or other Lawfull discharges for me and in my name and moreover to ordaine and sett attornyes one or more under him and at the pleasure againe to Revoake and Countermand the same and to Execute performe and finish for me & in my name all & wholy as my self in my owne person might or could doe in or about the same Ratifieing & Confirming and alloweing what my said Attorny Procurator or actor shall doe or cause to be done in the premisses by these presents In wittness whereof I the said Richard Peacock have hereunto sett my hand and seale this sixteenth day of apprile in the Eigth year of the dominion of the R.t Hono.ble Charles &c and in the year of our Lord one Thousand six hundred Eighty & three Rich Peacock (seal) Signed sealed and delivred in presence of Wm Coursey This letter of Attorny was duely proved upon the oath of Majo.r Wm Coursey one of the Tho Vaughan wittnesses thereunto before me this 19.th day of June 1683 Vincent Lowe |
