242) 252 to the place of Office of principall secretary belonging Bee it now therefore knowne that Wee reposeing speciall trust and Confidence in Edmund Beauchampe of Somsett County Gentl his fidelity to his Lopps Circumspeccon truth honesty integrity and ability have ordeined constituted and appointed and by these p.rsents Doe ordeine constitute and appoint you the said Edmund Beauchampe to be Clerke of the aforesaid County of Som.rsett Wherefore you are Comanded to take and keep in yo.r Custody all & singular the Records papers and miniments to the said Court belonging and to issue out all manner of processe and p.rcepts as by the Court shalbe required Keeping due and exact Record of all yo.r proceedings and in all other things to be have your selfe as Clerke and to Act doe and performe as to the place and office of Clerke belongeth To have and to hold the said place and office of Clerke of the said County of Somersett for and dureing pleasure Given under our hands & seales this Fourth day of Aprill in the Eighth yeare of the Dominion of &c Annoq.r Dm One Thousand six hundred Eighty Three Nicholas Sewall (sealed) John Darnall (sealed) This Indenture made the Nineteenth day of December in the Eighth yeare of the Dominion of the Right Honoble Charles absolute Lord and Prop.ry of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltemore &c and in the year of our Lord God One thousand Six hundred Eighty and Two Betweene George Yate of the County of Ann Arundell in the Province of Maryland Gent of the one part and Henry Brent of Calvert County in the said Province of Maryland Gent of the other part Whereas the said Right Honble Charles Lord and absolute Prop.ry of the Province of Maryland &c By the certaine Deed of grant or Patent under his seale then used in the said Province of Maryland for granting of lands there bearing date att the Citty of S.t Marys the nine and twentyeth day of July in the Fifth yeare of the said Lopps Dominion over the said Province &c Did for the Consideracons therein menconed grant to the said George Yate all that parcell of land called the Rich Levell lyeing in Baltemore County in the Province of Maryland aforesaid Begining att the end of the west line of the land formerly laid out for Henry Stockett Gent called Stocketts Choice and knowne by the name of Rupalta and now in the possession of Thomas Ford of Ann Arundell County And runing into the woods west Three hundred and ninety perches bounded on the west by a line drawne North North west Three hundred and sixty perches then East three hundred and Ninety perches to the land of Henry Ward Gentl called Mountserrado the bounding on the said land and the land of the said Stockett now in the possession of the said Ford to the first menconed bounder Containing and laid out for (according to the Certificate of survey thereof taken and returned into our Office for lands bearing date the Four and twentyeth day of March Annoq.r Dm One thousand six hundred seaventy nine and remaining upon Record in our said office) Eight hundred Acres of land more or lesse Together with all rights profitts and benefitts thereunto belonging (Royall Mines excepted) To have and to hold the same unto him the said (George |
