(169) 178 On the back side of the Certificates hereafter mentioned was thus written viz By the Lord Prop.ry and Councell Ordered that these two Certificates of Peticon betweene Majo.r Joseph Wickes & M.r John Hinson be Recorded in the Provinciall Court signed ord.r John Lewellin Cl Consil June 29.th 1680 Maryland fs By vertue of a warrant of Resurvey bearing date the 4.th day of May 1680 granted by the R.tt hono.ble Charles unto M.r John Hinson of Kent County gentl directed to y.e surveys Gen.ll of this Province or his Deputy being in pursuance of a former grant unto the said Hinson and M.r Joseph Wickes of the same County gentl bearing date the twentieth of May 1674 To Resurvey three seaverall tracts of Land in the said County Lyeing in the Easterne Neck Containing One thousand foure hundred Acres according to Its Ancient bounds And the same to Divide into two Equall parts betweene the said Hinson and the said Wickes These may humbly Certifie that I Edward Sweatnam sworne surveyo.r by the hono.ble Vincent Lowe Esq.r surveyo.r Gen.ll of the same Province to resurvey and Divide the said three seav.ll tracts as aforesaid have Laid out for the said Joseph Wickes the Twelfth day of June 1680 a Tract of Land Called Wickes his Division formerly Wickliff Lyeing on the East side of Chesepeake bay in Kent County in Chester River Beginning att a marked burnt white oake tree standing on the Point of Land Leadeing from the said Wickes his house to the oyster shell Landing over against a Long point of Marsh that makes the mouth of the said River hard by a pond side in the said Marsh And Runing from the said burnt oake along the Easterne bay side North west foure hundred and twelve perches to a bounded Locust Logg sticking in the Marsh neare a Cove Called Cabbin Cove & from the said Locust Logg Runing still North west over the said Cove one hundred and twenty perches to another Logg sticking in the Marsh on the other side of the said Cove And from the end of the north west Line by a Line drawne north north west Eighty six perches And from the end of the north north west Line by a direct line drawne to a bounded greate White oake tree standing on the Edge of the woods by the said Marsh side And from the said greate white oake by a Line drawne East half a point southerly (being the Line of Division) betweene the said John Hinson and Joseph Wickes untill it Intersects the water of a Creek Runing out of Chester River Called Long neck Creek Therefrom the End of the East and half a point southerly Line by a Line drawne from the south side of the said Long neck Creeke south East one hundred and twenty perches Then from the End of the south East Line by a Line Drawne south west twenty Eight perches to a Creeke side Called short neck Creeke runing out of y.e River aforesaid Then from the End of y.e south west line drawne south east over the said short neck Creek to a marked Chesnutt stake sticking in the Marsh one hundred and forty pches Then from the said Chesnutt stake at the last southeast Line and by a direct line drawne to the first bounded burnt white oake tree Bounded on the west by the said Easterne bay on the north by the East half a pointe southerly Line on the East by the said Long neck and Creeke and River and on the south by the aforesaid line drawne from the afors.d Chesnutt stake to the first bounded white oak tree Containing and Now Laid out for Eight hundred Acres sixty and foure Acres of Land more or Lesse To bee held of y.e Mano.r of Baltemore Now followes the Names of those that were Impowered to have inspeccon p me Edw.d Sweatnam Dep.ty surveyo.r into the survey & for the direcon of the Line & the Division as also the names of the Jurors Impannelled Upon the Land for y.e same purpose according to the said speciall Warrant
