AN ACT concerning
Judicial Pensions
FOR the purpose of increasing judicial pensions under the
contributory plan to two—thirds of salary payable in
a current fiscal year to a judge holding the same or
same level judicial position as the retired judge;
providing for a moratorium on certain pension
contributions, granting credit for certain judicial
service; termination contributions after 16 years of
service; prohibiting supplementation of a judicial
pension by a county or Baltimore City; defining
terms; and" dealing generally with the pensions of
judges and their spouses under both contributory and
noncontributory judicial pension plans.

Sections 55 through 59, inclusive, and 62, 64 and 65
Annotated Code of Maryland

Supplement)
BY adding to

Supplement)
SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Sections 55 through 59, inclusive, and 62,
64 and 65 of Article 73B — Pensions, of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume and 1973
Additional Supplement) be and they are hereby repealed,
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That new
Sections 55 through 59, inclusive, be and they are hereby
added to Article 73B - Pensions, of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1970 Replacement Volume and 1973 Additional
Supplement) to read as follows:

(A) THE DEFINITIONS OF "PENSION," "RETIREMENT
ALLOWANCE," AND "RETIREMENT" AS SET FORTH IN SECTION 1 OF
THIS ARTICLE DO NOT APPLY TO THIS SUBTITLE, EXCEPT AS
