CHAPTER 19
(Senate Bill 741)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 51(1) of Article 25 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume and 1971
Supplement), title "County Commissioners," subtitle "County Treasurers," to
increase the salary of the treasurer in Dorchester County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 51(1) of Article 25 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume and 1971 Supplement), title "County
Commissioners," subtitle "County Treasurers," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

51.

(1) The county treasurer of Dorchester County shall receive an annual salary of
[$8,400] $15,000.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the provisions of this
Act shall not be construed to extend or apply to the Treasurer of Dorchester
County in office on the effective date of this Act, but the provisions of this Act
shall take effect with the next term of office.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendment, Section 8(g-l) of Article 2B of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume), title "Alcoholic
Beverages," subtitle "Beer Licenses," raising the annual fee for a Class A beer
license in Kent County.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 8(g-1) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1968 Replacement Volume), title "Alcoholic Beverages," subtitle "Beer
Licenses," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read
as follows:

(g-1) In Kent and Wicomico counties, the annual license fee for such a license
shall be ONE HUNDRED FIFTY DOLLARS ($150.00) AND fifty dollars
($50.00), RESPECTIVELY.
