SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take

CHAPTER 138
(House Bill 175)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 41(12) of Article 48A
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume), title
"Insurance Code," subtitle "2. Insurance Division and Insurance
Commissioner," to increase the fees paid to the Insurance Commissioner for
valuing life insurance policies, other than group policies.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section 41(12) of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1972 Replacement Volume), title "Insurance Code," subtitle "2.
Insurance Division and Insurance Commissioner," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:

41.

(12) [For valuing life insurance policies, other
than group, per million of insurance or any fractional
part thereof ..... $15,00]

FOR VALUING LIFE INSURANCE POLICIES, OTHER
THAN GROUP,

(I) FOR THE FIRST $14,000,000 OF INSURANCE

OR ANY FRACTIONAL PART THEREOF - $350.00

(II) FOR EACH ADDITIONAL $1,000,000 OF INSUR-
ANCE OR FRACTIONAL PART THEREOF - $25.00

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take
effect July 1, 1973.
