2600 County Local Laws
"Electricity," Article IV. Licenses, by adding a new paragraph to
Section 10-23 of said Code and Article, and by repealing and re-
enacting with amendments Section 10-24 of said Code and Article.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the County Council of Baltimore
County, Maryland, That Section 10-19 of the Baltimore County Code,
1968 (1969 Cumulative Supplement) title "Electricity," Article IV.
Licenses, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments, all to read as follows:
Section 10-19 Examination; score required; age restriction.
Every individual applicant for a master general electrician or
a master limited electrician or restricted electrician license shall
submit to an examination.
No examination shall be tendered to any person under the age of
twenty-one (21) years.
In order to qualify for a license, the applicant shall correctly
answer at least seventy percent of the questions propounded.
Section 2. Be it enacted by the County Council of Baltimore
County, Maryland, That a new paragraph, to follow immediately
after the fourth paragraph thereof, be and it is hereby added to
Section 10-23 of the Baltimore County Code, 1968 (1969 Cumulative
Supplement) title "Electricity," Article IV. Licenses; said new para-
graph to read as follows:
No duly licensed Electrician will be permitted to be the repre-
sentative under more than one license at the same time.
Section 3. Be it enacted by the County Council of Baltimore
County, Maryland, That Section 10-24 of the Baltimore County Code,
1968 (1969 Cumulative Supplement) title "Electricity," Article IV.
Licenses, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
Section 10-24. Reciprocity with other counties and municipali-
ties; grandfather clause.
The electrical administrative board of [the] Baltimore County
is authorized to issue electricians' licenses for electrical work in
[the] Baltimore County to applicants outside [the] Baltimore
County, without examination, if the applicant holds [a previous]
an active electrician's license issued by a county or municipality of
the State of Maryland; provided only that such counties or munici-
palities will [in return issue] reciprocate by issuing licenses to
licensed electricians of [the] Baltimore County to work in the afore-
said counties or municipalities without examination, and that such
applicants must have [previously] obtained a license by examination
in [the] another county or municipality in which they shall have been
operating an electrical business, for a period of one year, and have
paid fees as required by the Baltimore County rules and regulations,
and furnishes verification in writing from that county or munici-
pality; provided, however, that any person, firm, or corporation who
