2220                               Municipal Charters

immediately after the present Section 48-7. Said new section to pro-
vide for all checks in payment of salaries or other municipal obliga-
tions issued, be signed by the Clerk-Treasurer and counter-signed by
the Mayor.

Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the
Mayor and Town Council of Landover Hills, Maryland, that a new section be
added to the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County, Mary-
land (1963 Edition), said new section to be entitled "Landover Hills" and
subtitled, "Checks" and to be known as Section 48-7A, and to follow im-
mediately after the present Section 48-7, said new section to read as follows:

48-7A. Checks.

All checks issued in payment of salaries or other municipal obliga-
tions shall be issued and signed by the Clerk-Treasurer and shall be counter-
signed by the Mayor.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED that
any section or sections of the Charter of the Town of Landover Hills, Mary-
land which are inconsistent with the above enacted Section, be and the
same are hereby repealed.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED that
the aforegoing proposed amendment shall be posted in the Town Hall for
a period of at least forty (40) days following its adoption, and shall fur-
ther be published in the Prince George's Post once in each of four succes-
sive weeks before the 29th day of March, 1971.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED that
the proposed amendment will become and be considered a part of the Mu-
nicipal Charter of the Town of Landover Hills on the 10th day of April,
1971, unless a petition is filed pursuant to Article 23A, Section 13, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition as amended, said petition to be
filed on or before the 29th day of March, 1971.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED that
the aforegoing Resolution and Ordinance be and the same is hereby adopted
this 17th day of February, 1971.

Charter Amendment No. 71-4
Mayor and Town Council of Landover Hills, Maryland

A Resolution and Ordinance to repeal and re-enact, with amend-
ments, Section 48-24 (a) and (b) of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Prince George's County, Maryland, (1963 Edition) (1967 Supple-
ment), titled "Landover Hills" and subtitled, "Borrowing Power,"
subsections (a) and (b), being sections of the Charter of the Town
of Landover Hills, and eliminating the six percent limitation on inter-
est payable on any bonds or certificates of indebtedness the Town of
Landover Hills may issue to effectuate any improvements including,
but not limited to storm water and drainage improvements.
