Landover Hills                                   2219

Section 1. BE IT RESOLVED, ENACTED and ORDAINED by the
Mayor and Town Council of Landover Hills, Maryland, that Section 48-7 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Prince George's County, Maryland (1963
Edition), titled "Landover Hills" and subtitled, "Treasurer," being a sec-
tion of the Charter of the Mayor and Town Council of Landover Hills, Mary-
land, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted with amend-
ments to read as follows:

48-7. Treasurer.

The Treasurer to be elected as above provided shall make all collec-
tions of taxes and receive all money paid for the use and benefit of said
corporation; he shall keep an account of the receipts and disbursements
of the funds of the corporation, in a well bound book, to be provided by
the said Mayor and Town Council for that purpose, and shall render the
account to the Mayor and Town Council when required by them, for all
moneys received by him, and shall promptly disburse on the order of the
Mayor and Town Council under such regulations as they may prescribe, all
sums of moneys so received by him. He shall receive for his services such
compensation as may be determined by the Mayor and Town Council from
time to time, not to exceed the sum of [five hundred ($500.00) dollars]
six hundred fifty ($650.00) dollars.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED that
any section or sections of the Charter of the Town of Landover Hills, Mary-
land which are inconsistent with the above enacted Section, be and the
same are hereby repealed.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED that
the aforegoing proposed amendment shall be posted in the Town Hall for
a period of at least forty (40) days following its adoption, and shall fur-
ther be published in the Prince George's Post once in each of four succes-
sive weeks before the 29th day of March, 1971.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED that
the proposed amendment will become and be considered a part of the Mu-
nicipal Charter of the Town of Landover Hills on the 10th day of April,
1971, unless a petition is filed pursuant to Article 23A, Section 13, of the
Annotated Code of Maryland, 1957 Edition as amended, said petition to be
filed on or before the 29th day of March, 1971.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED that
the aforegoing Resolution and Ordinance be and the same is hereby adopted
this 17th day of February, 1971.
