societies in Garrett County. Therefore, I have decided to veto House
Bill 447.

Sincerely,

/s/ Marvin Mandel,

Governor.

House Bill No. 458—Insurance on Corporate Vehicles

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 243
(n) of Article 48A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1971 Supple-
ment 1972 REPLACEMENT VOLUME), title "Insurance Code,"
subtitle "Rates and Rating Organizations," to allow persons using
leased vehicles or
vehicles owned by a corporation to obtain insur-
ance through the Maryland automobile insurance plan for assigned
risks, and to add a previously omitted paragraph designation.

May 31, 1972.

Honorable Thomas Hunter Lowe
Speaker of the House of Delegates
State House
Annapolis, Maryland 21404

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17, of the Maryland Con-
stitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 458.

This bill amends the insurance code to allow certain vehicles
owned by corporations to be eligible for insurance through the Mary-
land Automobile Insurance Plan for assigned risks.

House Bill 444, which was enacted by the Maryland General
Assembly and signed by me on April 26, 1972, repealed the Mary-
land Automobile Insurance Plan for assigned risks. Because of the
inconsistency between the two bills, and because the enactment of
House Bill 444 renders House Bill 458 unnecessary, I have decided
to veto House Bill 458.

Sincerely,

/s/ Marvin Mandel,

Governor.

House Bill No. 474—Motor Vehicle Registration Plates

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 4-110
of Article 66½ of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1970 Replace-
ment Volume and 1971 Supplement), title "Vehicle Laws," subtitle
"Subtitle 4. Antitheft Laws," to make certain motor vehicle viola-
tions pertaining to temporary registration plates a misdemeanor.

May 31, 1972.

Honorable Thomas Hunter Lowe
Speaker of the House of Delegates
State House
Annapolis, Maryland 21404

Dear Mr. Speaker:

In accordance with Article II, Section 17, of the Maryland
Constitution, I have today vetoed House Bill 474.
