CHAPTER 96
(Senate Bill 638)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 34C of
Article 38A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Replacement
Volume, 1970 Supplement), title "Fire and Investigations," subtitle
"Explosives," providing that a person who is not subject to
penalties under Sections 34A or 34B of Article 38A shall be subject
to the penalty under this section.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 34C of Article 38A of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1965 Replacement Volume, 1970 Supplement) title "Fire and Inves-
tigations" subtitle "Explosives," be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
34C.
Any person who violates Section 27A or Section 31 of this subtitle,
and who is not subject to the penalties otherwise provided in Section
34A or Section 34B, shall, upon conviction, be imprisoned for a term
of not more than five years, or shall be fined not more than five
thousand dollars ($5,000.00), or both, in the discretion of the court.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1, 1971.

AN ACT to add new subsection (72) to Section 9 of Article 81 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1969 Replacement Volume and
1970 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes," subtitle "What
Shall Be Taxed and Where," to follow immediately after sub-
section (71) thereof, to exempt from assessment and from state,
county, COUNTY and city taxation in this State the Roger Brooke
Taney Home and Museum in Frederick County, for a specified
time.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
