          I John Smith do Swear that I will not for Lucre or Malice delay any
       Person or Persons applying to Me for any Bussiness belonging to the Office I Officiate in
       and that I will not directly or Indirectly Ask Demand take or Receive from or charge to
       any Person or Persons to my own Use Except my Salary from my Principal any Fee or
       Reward whatsoever for my service I shall do as Clerk of the said Office and Also that in
       Making out the Office Fees I will not Wittingly or Willingly charge other or higher Fees than
       limitted by the Act Entituled an Act for amending the Staple of Tobaco for Preventing
       Frauds in his Majestys Customs and for Limitation of Officers Fees
                         Sworn before Me one of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Ann.ll County
                         this 12th day of Octob.r 1763

Ex.d      This Indenture made the thirty first day of May in the
       Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and Sixty three Between John Cox of
       the City of Philadelphia in the province of Pennsylvania Merchant and Samuel
       Mifflin of the Said City Merchant and Rebecca his Wife of the one Part and Samuel Neave
       and Jeremiah Warder both of the Said City of Philadelphia Merchants of the other Part
       Witnesseth that the said John Cox and Samuel Mifflin and Rebecca his Wife
       for and in Consideration of the sum of six hundred and Seventy five Pounds Lawful Money
       of Pennsylvania unto them well and truly Paid by the said Samuel Neave & Jeremiah Warder
       at and before the sealing and delivery hereof the Receipt whereof they do hereby Acknowledge and
       thereof do acquit and for ever discharge the said Samuel Neave and Jeremiah Warder their
       and Assigns by these Presents   Have granted bargained Sold released & Confirmed
       and by these Presents the said John Cox and Samuel Mifflin and Rebecca his Wife
       Do grant bargain sell release and Confirm unto the said Samuel Neave and
