627 of suffering the said Recovery that the said Benjamin Notley Peerce and his heirs shall stand and be seized of all and singular the said Tracts or Parcells of Land with the Appurtenances to and for the only Proper Use and Behoof of the said Benjamin Notley Peerce and his heirs and assigns forever and to and for no other use intent and Purpose whatsoever In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto set their hands and seals the day and year above Written Sealed and delivered John Peerce seal in the Presence of J Hepburn Benj.a Notley Peerce seal Enoch Magruder On the back of the foregoing Deed were the following Indorsements Viz 1755 Nov.r 7 Then Received of Benjamin Notley Peerce the sum of five shillings Current Money of Maryland being the Consideration money within mentioned Test John Peerce J Hepburn Enoch Magruder 1755 Nov.r 7.th Then Came John Peerce before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland and acknowledged the within mentioned Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances to be the Right of the within mentioned Benjamin Notley Peerce his heirs and assigns forever Taken and Acknowledged before J Hepburn 6 Recorded 8.th Nov.r 1755 This Indenture made this Eighth day of May Anno Domini One thousand seven hundred and fifty five Between Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson of London Merchants surviving Assignees of John Philpot and John Hutchinson late of London Merchants Bankrupts of the one part and Lewis Duval of Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the Other Part Witnesseth that the said Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson for and in Consideration of the Sum of Forty Pounds Sterling to them in hand paid by the said Lewis Duvall the Receipt whereof the said Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson doth hereby acknowledge and themselves therewith to be fully satisfyed Contented and Paid and thereof and therefrom Doth acquit and discharge the said Lewis Duvall his heirs & assigns forever Hath Given Granted Bargained and sold and by these Presents doth Give Grant Bargain and sell unto the said Lewis Duvall his heirs and Assigns forever a Certain (Tract) |
