       Maryland fs.t   Horatio Sharpe Esquire Governor and Commander
                              in Chief in and over the Province of Maryland
Exam.d               To Henry Darnall of Prince Georges County Esquire Greeting
       Having Special Trust and Confidence in your Fidelity Integrity Knowledge  
       and Circumspection I Do hereby Nominate constitute and appoint
       you the said Henry Darnall ot be Naval Officer of the Port of Patuxent
       within the Province af.d Hereby giving and Granting unto you the said
       Henry Darnall full Power and Authority to Act do Perform and Execute
       all and singular the lawfull Powers and Authorities and other Things
       whatsoever incident to the said office of Naval officer and to take
       and Receive to your own proper use and Benefit all Such lawful
       Fees Perquisites and Advantages as to the said office do in anywise
       appertain   To have and to hold the Same during Pleasure Given
       at the City of Annapolis under my hand and Seal this 14.th Day
       of March in the 11.th Year of his Lordships Dominion Annoque Domini

       On the Back of the aforegoing Commission was thus Endorsed Viz.t
                      I hereby Certifie that the within Named Henry Darnall
       Esquire Naval officer of the Port of Patuxent has this Day taken
       the Several Oaths to the Government repeated and subscribed the Test
       and Abjuration and also took the usual Oath of office

       Maryland fs.t   Know all men by these Presents that We Benedict Calvert and
Ex.d George Steuart Esquires Judges and Registers of the Land office of Maryland
       Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis and Ignatius Digges of Prince Georges
       County Esquires are held and firmly bound unto the Right Honourable the
       Lord Proprietary of the Province of Maryland in the full and just sum of
       three thousand pounds Currency to be paid to the said Lord Proprietary
       and his Successors to which payment well and truly to be made   We
       and every of us hereby bind ourselves and every of us our and every of our
       heirs Executors Administrators and assigns Jointly and Severally
       firmly by these presents sealed with our Seals and dated this twenty
       seventh Day of May 1755
