Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Revenue and Taxes," subtitle
"State Department of Assessments and Taxation," to amend the
law to provide that the annual salary of the assistant supervisor
of assessments for Baltimore County be as specified in the Com-
pensation Plan of Baltimore County.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 239 (a) of Article 81 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1965 Replacement Volume and 1967 Supplement), title "Revenue
and Taxes," subtitle "State Department of Assessments and Taxa-
tion," be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments,
to read as follows:
239.
(a) The County Council of Baltimore County, Maryland, shall
upon recommendation of the supervisor of assessments designate one
of the county assessors as assistant supervisor of assessments, and
Baltimore County, Maryland, shall be authorized and directed to levy
and pay said assistant supervisor of assessments an annual salary as
specified in [standard salary grade XXXVI as established by the
personnel and salary advisory board] the Compensation Plan of
Baltimore County, Maryland, from time to time, including incre-
ments for time served and longevity specified for such grade, pro-
vided, however, that the portion of said salary to be paid by the State
shall be limited to the amount prescribed in the schedule set forth in
Section 237 of this article, provided, however, that service prior to
June 1, [1966] 1968, shall be taken into consideration in deter-
mining the salary payable to such assistant supervisor of assess-
ments.
Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
July 1,1968.

AN ACT to add new Section 47(c-4) (F) to Article 26 of the An-
notated Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume and 1967
Supplement), title "Courts," subtitle "Salaries of Judges," to
follow immediately after Section 47(c-4) (E) thereof, to au-
thorize the County Commissioners of Kent County to supple-
ment the salary of the resident circuit court judge and to provide
that upon a certain contingency this Act shall become effective
or be voided.
Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That new Section 47 (c-4) (F) be and it is hereby added to Article 26
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1966 Replacement Volume and
1967 Supplement), title "Courts," subtitle "Salaries of Judges," to
follow immediately after Section 47(c-4) (E) thereof, and to read as
follows:
