nection with its facilities which are subject to regulation, super-
vision and control, in order to safeguard life, health and property by
a state or federal regulatory commission having jurisdiction so long
as such person is thus actually and exclusively employed and no
longer.
(e) The work or practice of engineering by officers or employees
of corporations (1) engaged in research and development engineer-
ing performed under contract directly with the United States Gov-
ernment, or any department or agency thereof, or (2) engaged in
manufacturing, or in industrial processes, or in industrial engineer-
ing, or in the maintenance and repair of structuring or equipment
used in such manufacturing or industrial processes, in the plants
owned or leased by such corporations or organizations. THE WORK
OR PRACTICE OF ENGINEERING BY OFFICERS OR EM-
PLOYEES OF CORPORATIONS (1) ENGAGED IN RESEARCH
AND DEVELOPMENT ENGINEERING PERFORMED FOR THE
UNITED STATES GOVERNMENT, OR ANY DEPARTMENT OR
AGENCY THEREOF, OR (2) ENGAGED IN MANUFACTURING,
OR IN INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES, OR IN INDUSTRIAL ENGI-
NEERING, OR IN THE MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR OF
STRUCTURES OR EQUIPMENT USED IN SUCH MANUFAC-
TURING OR INDUSTRIAL PROCESSES, PROVIDED SUCH
WORK OR PRACTICE OR ENGINEERING IS IN CONNECTION
WITH OR INCIDENTAL TO PRODUCTS OR SYSTEMS OF SUCH
CORPORATIONS OR ITS SUBSIDIARIES OR AFFILIATES.
(f) The use of the term "engineer" in connection with any prac-
tice specified in subsections (c), (d), and (e) hereof.
(a) The practice of or offer to practice engineering or land
surveying for others as defined in Section 2 by individual engineers
or land surveyors registered under this article through a corporation
as officers, employees or agents, or through a partnership as part-
ners, officers, employees or agents, or the offering or rendering of
engineering and land surveying services by a corporation or partner-
ship through individual engineers or land surveyors registered under
this article is permitted, subject to the provisions of this article;
provided that (1) one or more of the corporate officers in the case of
a corporation, or one or more of the partners in the case of a partner-
ship, is designated as being responsible for the engineering or land
surveying activates and engineering or land surveying decisions of
said corporation or partnership and is a professional engineer or
professional land surveyor under this article; (2) all personnel of
said corporation or partnership who act in its behalf as profes-
sional engineers or professional land surveyors are registered under
this article, or are persons lawfully practicing under Section 17; and
(3) said corporation or partnership has been issued a certificate of
authorization by the Board, as hereinafter provided. The require-
ments of this article shall not prevent a corporation and its em-
ployees from performing engineering or land surveying services for
said corporation or subsidiary or affiliated corporations. All final
drawings, specifications, plans, reports or other papers or documents
involving the practice of engineering or land surveying as defined in
this article when issued, or filed for public record, shall be dated, and
