(e)  The Board is authorized to employ such experts, assistants
and clerks as are necessary to carry out its duties. County Members
of the Board shall receive a per diem compensation of twenty-five
dollars ($25.00) for every day engaged in the business of the Board
and all members of the Board shall be reimbursed for their actual
expenses incurred in carrying out their duties.

(f)  All expenses of the Board shall be paid by the Commission.

Sec 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or parts of laws,
public general or public local, inconsistent with the provisions of this
Act are hereby repealed to the extent of any such inconsistency.

Sec. 3. And be it further enacted, That if the provisions of this
Act or the application thereof to any person or circumstance is held
invalid for any reason, such invalidity shall not affect the other pro-
visions or any other application of this Act which can be given effect
without the invalid provisions or application, and to this end, all the
provisions of this Act are hereby declared to be severable.

Sec. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1966.

CHAPTER 604
(Senate Bill 342)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 86 (g) of
Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1965 Supple-
ment), title "Alcoholic Beverages", subtitle "Hours and Days for
Sale", amending the alcoholic beverages laws applicable in Allegany
County with particular respect to the hours during which persons
may consume alcoholic beverages on certain licensed premises.

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 86 (g) of Article 2B of the Annotated Code of Mary-
land (1965 Supplement), title "Alcoholic Beverages", subtitle "Hours
and Days for Sale", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with
amendments, to read as follows:

86.

(g) In Allegany County, it shall be unlawful after 1 o'clock a.m.
on Sunday[s, after midnight on Saturdays] or between the hours
of 1:00 A.M. and 7:00 A.M. on other days, for any person to con-
sume any alcoholic beverages on any premises open to the general
public, any place operated as a club, any place of public entertain-
ment, or any place at which setups or other component parts of
mixed alcoholic drinks are sold under any license issued under the
provisions of Article 2B; and it shall also be unlawful for any owner,
operator, or manager of said premises to permit such consumption.
In addition, it shall be unlawful, at any time in Allegany County, for
any person to possess or consume any alcoholic beverage on any
premises not licensed under Article 2B which is open to the general
