Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the sanction and consent of the said General Assembly of Mary-
land be and the same is hereby declared, given and granted to the
following gifts, bequests, devises, grants, sales, leases, conveyances
and deeds, to and from certain persons and bodies corporate to and
for the use of certain ministerial persons, religious and educational
corporations, orders, denominations and sects, and to certain charit-
able institutions hereinafter named and hereinafter set forth.

1.  One-half of trust estate held by Mercantile-Safe Deposit and
Trust Company as trustee under unrecorded Deeds of Trust from
William B. Graves dated May 30, 1887 and March 1, 1911 and dis-
tributable upon the death of the income beneficiary of the said trust
estate, Anna Melissa Graves, on October 26th, 1964, to Baptist Church
Extension Society of Maryland, Inc.

2.  One-half of trust estate held by Mercantile-Safe Deposit and
Trust Company under unrecorded Assignment dated May 7, 1904
and under unrecorded Deed of Trust dated March 1, 1911, both from
William B. Graves, and distributable upon the death of Anna Melissa
Graves, the income beneficiary of the trust estate held under said
Assignment, on October 26th, 1964, to the Baptist Church Extension
Society of Maryland, Inc.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1965.

CHAPTER 560
(Senate Bill 391)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 138 of
Article 23 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1957 Edition),
title "Corporations", sub-title "Nonstock Corporations", to include
in this section which provides that unincorporated associations
having recognizable group names may sue or be sued in the group
name in any action affecting the common property rights and
liabilities of such association. The provisions that a money judg-
ment against the organization be enforceable only against said
organization as an entity and against its common assets and not
against any member or shareholder individually.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 138 of Article 23 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1957 Edition), title "Corporations", sub-title "Nonstock Corpora-
tions", be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:

138.

Every unincorporated association or joint stock company having
a recognized group name may sue or be sued in such group name
in any action affecting the common property, rights and liabilities
of such association or joint stock company. Such action shall have
