TRAVELING AND OTHER EXPENSES IS FIFTEEN HUN-
DRED DOLLARS ($1,500). PAYMENTS ON ACCOUNT OF THIS
ALLOWANCE SHALL BE MADE AT REGULAR INTERVALS
BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS UPON THE
PRESENTATION OF BILLS BY THE STATE'S ATTORNEY.

(g) Carroll County.In Carroll County, the State's Attorney's
salary is forty-two hundred and fifty dollars ($4,250)
SIX THOU-
SAND DOLLARS ($6,000).

(h) Cecil County.In Cecil County, (1) the State's Attorney's
salary is five thousand dollars ($5,000)
SEVEN THOUSAND TWO
HUNDRED DOLLARS ($7,200).

(2)   The State's Attorney may appoint an assistant State's At-
torney, to serve at the pleasure of the State's Attorney. The assistant
State's Attorney's salary is twenty five hundred dollars ($2,500)
THIRTY-SIX HUNDRED DOLLARS ($3,600).

(3)    The State's Attorney may appoint a special investigator,
whose salary is four thousand dollars ($4,000). The special inves-
tigator is directly under the supervision of the State's Attorney
and has all the powers of a deputy sheriff in Cecil County. When-
ever the State's Attorney permits, by reason of a lack of other work
for the special investigator, the special investigator shall assist the
Circuit Court of the county in the capacity of parole and probation
officer.

(4)    The State's Attorney's appropriation for special work and
the employment of extra help is five hundred dollars ($500), to be
spent only with the approval of the Judge of the Circuit Court.

(i)    Charles County.In Charles County, (1) the State's At-
torney's salary is five thousand dollars ($5,000)

DOLLARS ($6,000).

(2)   The State's Attorney may appoint an assistant State's At-
torney and
a secretary. The assistant State's Attorney's salary is
twenty-four hundred dollars ($2,400)
THREE THOUSAND DOL-
LARS ($3,000). The secretary's salary is three thousand dollars
($3,000)
THIRTY-TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($3,200).

(3) The State's Attorney's allowance for secretarial services is
four hundred dollars ($400).

(j) Dorchester County.In Dorchester County, (1) the State's
Attorney's salary is forty-five hundred dollars ($4,500).

(2) The State's Attorney's allowance for clerical expenses is two
thousand dollars ($2,000); and his allowance for secretarial services
is twelve hundred dollars ($1,200).

(k) Frederick County.In Frederick County, (1) the State's At-
torney's salary is five thousand dollars ($5,000).

(2) Subject to the approval of the resident judge of the Circuit
Court, the State's Attorney may appoint a member of the bar of
Frederick County as deputy State's Attorney, to serve at the pleas-
ure of the State's Attorney. The deputy State's Attorney's salary
is thirty-six hundred dollars ($3,600). Under the direction of the
State's Attorney, the deputy State's Attorney shall present cases
to the grand jury and perform such other acts and duties in re-
