361. Reports of the Board.

On or before the third Monday of July in each year, the Board
shall make a report in writing to the Governor. The report shall
contain a detailed statement of the receipts and expenditures of the
Board for the fiscal year ending on the last day of June next preced-
ing. Any balance of money remaining at that time after the pay-
ment of the salaries of the secretary and inspectors, the traveling,
legal and other expenses of the Board and of the secretary incurred
in the discharge of their duties, shall be reverted by the treasurer
of the Board to meet the necessary expenses for the ensuing year.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That nothing in this Act shall
be construed or applied to invalidate or to affect adversely any person
licensed for practicing the occupation of funeral director or of em-
balmer as of the effective date of this Act; and nothing herein shall
be construed or applied to interfere with or affect adversely the right
of any such person to continue practicing such occupation under the
license he holds at the time this Act becomes effective, for the re-
mainder of the period for which such license was issued.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That without in any way qualify-
ing the provisions of Section 2 of this Act, any person so licensed
in Maryland or practicing the occupation of funeral director or em-
balmer as of the effective date of this Act shall apply for a license
under this Act for practicing the occupation of funeral director and
embalmer within 90 days following the effective date of this Act.
Upon receiving an application from any such person the Board of
Funeral Directors and Embalmers shall issue to any person, who on
the effective date of this Act, was currently licensed to practice the
occupation of oithor embalmer or funeral director, or both, a license
under this Act to practice the occupation of funeral director and em-
balmer. The new license so obtained shall be for the same period as
the unexpired prior license and the exchange of licenses shall not be
construed or applied to invalidate or in any way to affect adversely
the license and the rights under the license held as of the effective
date of this Act. PERSONS WHO ARE LICENSED FOR THE OC-
CUPATION OF FUNERAL DIRECTOR IN THIS STATE AS OF
THE EFFECTIVE DATE OF THIS ACT MAY NOT APPLY FOR
AND RECEIVE A LICENSE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF
THIS SECTION FOR THE COMBINED OCCUPATION OF
FUNERAL DIRECTOR AND EMBALMER, PROVIDING ANY
SUCH PERSON PRIOR TO JUNE 1, 1962, COMPLETED TWO
YEARS' TIME AS A LICENSED EMBALMER'S APPRENTICE
IN THIS STATE AND THREE YEARS AS A LICENSED FU-
NERAL DIRECTOR IN THIS STATE.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1962.
