amount not to exceed two thousand five hundred dollars ($2500)
per annum to each of the Judges of the Circuit Court of the Sixth
Judicial Circuit who resides in Montgomery County.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1962.

(House Bill 25)
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section 72 of
Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-title "Fire Companies",
as said section was enacted by Chapter 98 of the Laws of 1953,
relating to the distribution of funds to volunteer fire departments
in St. Mary's County.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 72 of Article 19 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "St. Mary's County", sub-title "Fire
Companies", as said section was enacted by Chapter 98 of the Laws
of 1953, be and it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amend-
ments, to read as follows:
72.
The County Commissioners are authorized to pay annually from
general county funds to each active volunteer fire company in St.
Mary's County a sum not exceeding [$700. 00] $2500. 00 per com-
pany; provided, however, that no part of said sum shall be distributed
to any fire company to be formed in the future, which has not been
approved by [the Southern Maryland Firemen's Association, and
which is not organized in such a manner as to comply with the
minimum requirements prescribed by said Association for Volunteer
Fire Departments. ] the St. Mary's County Fire Board.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1962.
