sections relating to the operation of night schools in Allegany
County and being no longer applicable.

Whereas, Sections 495 to 502 of the Code of Allegany County
relate to the operation of night schools therein; and

Whereas, These sections are no longer applicable and may be
repealed; now there

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Section 495 to 502, inclusive, of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Allegany County (1955 Edition, being Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany County", sub-title
"Schools", sub-heading "Night Schools", be and they are hereby
repealed.

Sec. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

Approved March 1, 1957.

CHAPTER 116
(Senate Bill 323)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 491 and 492 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Allegany County (1955 Edition, being Article 1 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany County",
sub-title "Schools", said sections relating to the levy of taxes for
school purposes in Allegany County and being no longer necessary.

Whereas, Sections 491 and 492 of the Allegany County Code re-
late to the levy of taxes for school purposes in Allegany County; and

Whereas, this subject is adequately covered in Article 77 of the
State Code and these sections in the local law may be repealed; now
therefore

Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Sections 491 and 492 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Al-
legany County (1955 Edition, being Article 1 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland), title "Allegany County", sub-title
"Schools", be and they are hereby repealed.

Sec 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1957.

Approved March 1, 1957.
