1334                       CERTIFICATES OF REFERENDA

1955, Ch. 169—Westernport

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT

ANNAPOLIS, MARYLAND

OFFICE OF THE SECRETARY OF STATE

To the Clerk of the Court of Appeals:

I, JOHN R. REEVES, SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE STATE OF MARY-

LAND, pursuant to the direction contained in Section 210 of Article 33
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1951 Edition) DO HEREBY CER-
TIFY, That at an election held in the Town of Westernport,
Allegany County, Maryland, on June 14, 1955, an Act known as
Chapter 169 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1955 was sub-
mitted to the voters of the Town of Westernport, Allegany County,
Maryland, for their adoption or rejection under the provisions of
Chapter 169 of the Acts of 1955, said Act being:

"An Act to amend Section 643 of Article 1 of the Code of Public
Local Laws as said section was enacted by Chapter 8 of the
Acts of 1953, regulating the maximum amount of debt which
may be incurred by the municipal corporation of Westernport."

AND I DO CERTIFY, that at said election 168 votes were cast in favor
of the adoption of Chapter 169 of the Acts of 1955, and 150 votes
were cast against the adoption thereof, and a majority of the votes
being cast for the adoption of said Chapter 169 of the Acts of 1955,
the same has, therefore, been ratified by the voters of the Town of
Westernport.

IN TESTIMONY WHEREOF, I have hereunto subscribed my
name and affixed my official seal at the City of
(Secretary of Annapolis, this 24th day of June, 1955.
