CHAPTER 31.

An act to change the name of Judson J. Fogg, of the city
of Baltimore, to Judson Gilman.

Name chan-
ged.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That Judson J. Fogg of the city of Baltimore, be and
he is hereby authorised and empowered, to take the
name of Judson Gilman, by which name he shall ever here-
after be called and known, for all and every purpose what-
soever, and all the legal contracts and obligations which he
may have made or entered into prior to the passage of this
act, shall be obligatory upon all parties concerned, the same
as though this act Lad never been passed.

 

CHAPTER 32.

20, 1844.

An act for the benefit of Julia Ann Garner, of Carroll
County.

Authorised to
levy.

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That the commissioners of the tax of Carroll county, be
and they are hereby authorised, (if in their judgment, ) it
be expedient and proper so to do, to levy annually, any
sum not exceeding fifty dollars, in lieu of the sum now
levied for the benefit and support of Julia Ann Garner, and
cause the same to be paid over to Edmund Garner, for the
use of the said Julia Ann Garner.

An act for the relief of David Thum, of Washington
County.

Whereas it has been represented to this General Assem-
bly, that David Thum of Washington county, is now
