SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 946A of Article 4 of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Maryland and Baltimore City Charter (1938
Edition), title "Baltimore City", sub-title "Special Fund", as
enacted by Chapter 767 of the Acts of 1943, be and it is hereby
repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1945.

CHAPTER 932.

(House Bill 377)

AN ACT to add forty-two new sections to Article 11 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Banks
and Trust Companies", said new sections to be under sub-title
"Industrial Finance Companies", to be known as Sections
151 to 192, inclusive, and to follow immediately after Section
150 of said Article, to define and regulate the business of
lending money in amounts of fifteen hundred dollars ($1, 500)
or less; to authorize the licensing of persons, corporations and
other groups engaged in such business; to permit said licen-
sees to make charges at a greater rate herein than lenders not
licensed hereunder; to prescribe maximum rates of charges
which licensees are permitted to make; to provide for
the administration and enforcement of this Act and for
the issuance of regulations and orders therefor; to authorize
the making of examinations and investigations and the publi-
cation of reports thereof; to provide for review of adminis-
trative Acts hereunder; to prescribe penalties; to repeal all
laws and parts of laws which relate to the same subject mat-
ter as this Act, in so far as they are inconsistent with the
provisions of this Act.

land, That forty-two new sections be and they are hereby added
to Article 11 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edi-
tion), title "Banks and Trust Companies", said new sections to
be known as Sections 151 to 192, inclusive, to be under sub-title
"Industrial Finance Companies", to follow immediately after
Section 150 of said Article, and to read as follows:
