(e) Potomac River. Any person violating any of the pro-
visions of Sec. 8 shall be subject to the penalties prescribed
in said section.
(f) Oyster Packers and Dealers. Any person violating any
of the provisions of Sec. 9 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor,
and upon conviction thereof, shall be fined not less than Two
Hundred and Fifty Dollars ($250. 00) nor more than One
Thousand Dollars ($1, 000. 00) for each offense.
(g) Oyster Measures. Any person violating any of the
provisions of Section 10 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor,
and upon conviction thereof, fined not less than Ten Dollars
($10. 00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars ($100. 00), and
stand committed to jail until such fine and costs are paid.
(h) State Oyster Culture. No penalties prescribed.
(i) Private Oyster Culture. Any person violating any of the
provisions of Sec. 12 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and
upon conviction thereof, fined not less than Fifty Dollars
($50. 00) nor more than Two Hundred and Fifty Dollars
($250. 00), or in the discretion of the Court be imprisoned in
the county jail in which the offense occurred for not less than
three months nor more than one year, or both; and any boat
used in such violation shall be forfeited to the Department of
Tidewater Fisheries and shall not be released until payment
of said fine against the owner is made.
(j) Oyster Taxes. The Department of Tidewater Fisheries,
through the Attorney General of Maryland, may proceed to
collect unpaid taxes on oysters, provided for in Sec. 13, in the
same manner as other unpaid taxes due the State are col-
lected; and in addition thereto the said Department may seize
and hold the boat in which said oysters were or are being
transported until said taxes are paid.
(k) Clams. Any person violating the provisions of Sec. 14
shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
be fined Twenty-five Dollars ($25. 00) or stand committed to
the county jail in which such violation occurred until said
fine is paid.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or parts of
Acts, General or Local, passed by the session of the General
Assembly of Maryland in the year 1945, relating to or in any
