fore,

Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That section ninety-one of article twen-
ty-first of the Code of Public Local Laws, re-
lating to the number of election districts of
Washington county, be and the same is hereby re-
pealed, and the following be enacted as a substi-
tute therefor:

Article 21.

SEC. 1. And be it enacted, That Washington
county is divided into thirteen election district ac-
cording to the present bounds and limits, but the
county commissioners may in their discretion sub-
divide the said districts and create new ones or
may in their discretion abride or enlarge the same.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the day of its passage.
CHAPTER 89.

AN ACT entitled, an act to amend the one hun-
dred and eighteenth section of the eighteenth
article of the Code of Public Local Laws, relat-
ing to the pay of the Sheriff of Saint Mary's
county, for keeping prisoners by increasing said
pay.
|

24, 1860.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the sheriff of Saint Mary's
county, shall be entitled to forty cents a day for
keeping in jail and boarding each prisoner.
|

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the one hundred
and eighteenth section of the eighteenth article of
the Code of Public Local Laws, relating to the
boarding of prisoners in Saint Mary's county, be

Repealed,
|
|
|
and the same is hereby repealed, and that this act
shall take effect from the day of its passage.
