Washington County, and shall levy for the same as expenses
of the State's Attorney's office.

SEC. 2. And l>e it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 643.

(House Bill 725)

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
214 of Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Mont-
gomery County (1939 Edition), title "Montgomery County",
to empower the County Commissioners to license and regu-
late public and private dumps in any section of Montgomery
County outside of the Washington Suburban Sanitary Dis-
trict.

SEC. 1. The County Commissioners of Montgomery County
are hereby authorized, in their discretion, to purchase a lot or
parcel of ground for use as a dump and to levy a sufficient
amount to pay for the cost of same.

SEC. 2. The County Commissioners of Montgomery County
are hereby authorized, in their discretion, to license and regu-
late all dumps, both public and private, in any section of Mont-
gomery County outside of the Washington Suburban Sanitary
District.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted., That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the imme-
diate preservation of the public health and safety, and having
been passed upon a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths
of all of the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date
of its passage.
