CHAPTER 38.
(House Bill 5)

AN ACT to repeal Section 48 of Article 59 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Lunatics and In-
sane", sub-title "Board of Mental Hygiene77, said section
relating to the immediate removal of criminal insane con-
victs from the Maryland Penitentiary to state hospitals in
1914.

WHEREAS, the provisions of this section are no longer
applicable; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 48 of Article 59 of the Annotated Code of
Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Lunatics and Insane", sub-
title "Board of Mental Hygiene77, be and it is hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1943.

CHAPTER 39.

(House Bill 6)

AN ACT to repeal Sections 64 and 65 of Article 59 of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Lunatics
and Insane", sub-title "Crownsville State Hospital", said
sections relating to the purchase of land and erection of
buildings for Crownsville State Hospital.

WHEREAS, the provisions of these sections are no longer
applicable; therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 64 and 65 of Article 59 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title "Lunatics and In-
sane77, sub-title "Crownsville State Hospital77, be and they are
hereby repealed.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect. June 1, 1943.
