offer evidence of the law in another jurisdiction or to ask
that judicial notice be taken thereof, reasonable notice shall
be given to the adverse parties either in the pleadings or
otherwise.
50E. The law of a jurisdiction other than those referred to
in Section 50A shall be an issue for the court, but shall not
be subject to the foregoing provisions concerning judicial
notice.
50F. This sub-title shall be so interpreted and construed as
to effectuate its general purpose to make uniform the law of
those States which enact it.
50G. This sub-title may be cited as the Uniform Judicial
Notice of Foreign Law Act.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That all Acts, or parts
of Acts, inconsistent with the provisions of this Act, be and
they are hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1939.

(House Bill 233)
AN ACT to add one new section to Article 2 of the Public
Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Anne Arun-
del County", sub-title "County Commissioners", said new
section to be known as Section 240A and to follow immedi-
ately after Section 240 of said Article, to authorize the
County Commissioners to appropriate certain sums annual-
ly to the Public Library of Anne Arundel County and An-
napolis, and the Public Library of Glen Burnie.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That one new section be and it is hereby added to Article
2 of the Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Anne Arundel County", sub-title "County Commissioners",
said new section to be known as Section 240A and to follow
Immediately after Section 240 of said Article and to read as
follows:
