diate preservation of the public health and safety and being
passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-fifths of
all of the members elected to each of the two Houses of the
General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of
its passage.

CHAPTER 374.

AN ACT to repeal Section 2 of Chapter 200 of the Acts of
Assembly of Maryland of 1916, as repealed and re-enacted
by Chapter 144 of the Acts of Assembly of Maryland of
1929, also Section 3 of Chapter 200 of the Acts of Assembly
of Maryland of 1916, and to re-enact the same, with amend-
ments. The said re-enacted sections extending the descrip-
tion of the boundaries of the Town of Mount Rainier to
include the territory annexed to said town by Chapter 151
of the Acts of the Assembly of Maryland of 1929, annexing
certain other contiguous territory, and extending the 3rd
ward to include the additional territory.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 2 of Chapter 200 of the Acts of As-
sembly of Maryland of 1916, as repealed and re-enacted by
Chapter 144 of the Acts of Assembly of Maryland of 1929,
also Section 3 of Chapter 200 of the Acts of Assembly of
Maryland of 1916, be and the same are hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, so as to read as follows:

2. That the boundaries of said town shall be as follows:
"Commencing at a point where the center line of 34th Street,
if extended, would intersect the northern right-of-way of Grape
Street, as now laid out; thence running along the boundary line
of the Town of Brentwood in an easterly direction to intersect
the center line of the Northwest Branch, and then running with
the center line of said Branch to the southerly line of Queens
Chapel Road, and then running with. the southerly line of the
said Queens Chapel Road to the west line of 30th Street, thence
in a southerly direction following the west line of 30th Street*
to the north line of Grape Street; thence running westerly
along the north line of Grape Street, if extended, in a direct
line to the boundary line of the District of Columbia; thence
