CHAPTER 84.
AN ACT to authorize the Police Commissioner of Baltimore
City to reinstate Thomas B. Hopkins as a member of the
Baltimore Police Department.

CHAPTER 85.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
178-D of Article One of the Public Local Laws of the State
of Maryland, title "Allegany County, " sub-title "Jurors, "
as enacted by Chapter 89 of the Acts of the General Assem-
bly of Maryland of 1924 providing for the payment of
compensation of Jurors and of mileage to Jurors residing
beyond the City limits of Cumberland, Maryland.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 178-D of Article One of the Public
Local Laws of the State of Maryland, title "Allegany County, "
sub-title "Jurors, " as enacted by Chapter 89 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland of 1924, be and the same
is hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
178-D. All Jurors summoned to attend upon the Circuit
Court for Allegany County shall receive as compensation the
sum of Four ($4. 00) Dollars per day, together with an
amount equal to Ten ($0. 10) cents per mile for the distance
from their respective residences to the City of Cumberland.
Said mileage shall be paid to said Jurors for each and every
day they are summoned to attend upon said Court. All tales-
Jurymen summoned to attend said Court shall receive like com-
pensation except those summoned and residing in the City of
Cumberland, who shall only receive compensation in the event
of acceptance as Jurymen.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall
take effect from the first day of June, 1927.
