enter into Recognizance &c.a the afd Nicholas Neale comes into Court and Acknowledges himselfe
indebted to the Right Hon.ble the Lord Prop.ry in the Sum of five pounds Sterl to be Leveyed on his
goods and Chattles Lands and Tenements Conditionally that if he do not make his appearance
at next November Court to be held for Said County Then and there to prosecute on his Lordships
behalfe against the afd John Hall wherewith he Acknowledge himselfe Content &c.a

 Kent County fs.t The Jurors for the Right Hon.ble the Lord proprietarie that
now is for Kent County afd upon their Oath do present that Elizabeth Simmonds
late of S.t Pauls Parish in the County afd the Servant of Daniel Ferrall
at the parish afd in the County afd within the Jurisdiction of this Court
did Commit fornication with a Certain person to the Jurors afd unknown and did permit the
same unknown person then and there to have Carnal knowledge of her body and to beget then
and there a bastard Child on the body of her the Same Elizabeth to the high Displeasure of
Almighty God to the Evil Example of all others in Such Case offending Contrary to the peace
of the Said Lord proprietarie that now is his good Rule and Government and against the
form of the Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided

    And the afd Elizabeth Simmonds in her proper person comes and Saith that She Cannot
gainsay the Indictment afd So as afd against her brought nor but that She is guilty of the
premises upon her imposed as it is by the afd Indictment Alledged And thereupon Submits
to the Court  Therefore it is Considered by this Court here Viz In the Court House in
the Town of Chester in Said County On the third tuesday in June being the Seventeenth day of
said Month Anno Dom seventeen hundred and twenty nine  That the afd Elizabeth Simmonds
pay the Sum of thirty Shillings Current money for her fine for Committing the Crime afd and
also to pay the Sum of two hundred twenty one pounds of tobacco Costs Accruing on the
premises afd to the officers of this Court

    Ordered by the Court here that the Said Eliz Simmonds prove the begetter of her afd Child
on which she being Sworn saith a Certain Francis Pool is the begetter on which this
Court orders that the Clk of the Indictments of this Court draw an Informacon ag.st y.e s.d Francis

    Ordered that Surety be gave for fine &c.a On which Daniel Ferrall of this Co.ty
Saith that he will pay the County the Sum of thirty Shill.s for the fine afd to whom the s.d
Court shall think fitt to order

right Honourable the Lord Proprietarie that now is for the County afd who is
the Same Lord proprietarie in this part prosecuteth doth come here into the
County Court before William Frisby Esq.r and his associates his Lordships
Justices of the Same County Court to wit at Chester Town in the afd County
the twentieth day of June Anno Dom Seventeen hundred twenty and Nine and for the
Same Lord proprietarie doth give the Court here to understand and be informed that Francis
Pool late of S.t pauls parish in the County afd labourer the tenth day of June Anno
Dom seventeen hundred twenty and Eight at the parish afd in the County afd
within the Jurisdiction of this Court did Commit adultery with a Certain Elizabeth
Simmonds who then and there did begett a bastard Child on her body upon the
