CHAPTER 54.

AN ACT to repeal Section 12 of Chapter 656 of the Acts of
the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the General
Session of 1904, entitled "An Act to repeal Chapter 619 of
the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at the
January Session, 1900, and to repeal Chapter 334 of the
Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland passed at the
January Session, 1002, entitled "'An Act providing for the
election of a County Treasurer for Talbot County, " and de-
nning the duties and powers of said Treasurer, " and to re-
enact the same with amendments.

(Vetoed. )

CHAPTER 55.

AN ACT to authorize the Supervisor of Assessments of Cecil
County to appoint a clerk and fixing the salary of said
clerk.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land that the Supervisor of Assessments of Cecil County is
authorized to appoint a clerk and the salary of said clerk shall
be fifty dollars a month to be paid by the County Commissioners
of Cecil County monthly.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted that this Act shall take effect
June 1st, 1922, and hereby repeals all other Local Acts incon-
sistent herewith.

Approved March 21st, 1922.

CHAPTER 56.

AN ACT to prohibit the recording of any deed conveying,
real estate or chattels real, located in Baltimore County,
among the Land Records of said County until the property
thereby conveyed and assigned has been transferred on the
assessment books in the office of the County Commissioners
of Baltimore County and public taxes, assessments and
charges paid on said property.

SEC. 1, Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
