theran Church in the county of Baltimore, passed at No-
vember session eighteen hundred, chapter fourteen, the
name of said chnrch was changed to that of The German
Reformed and Lutheran Church of Baltimore County: And
whereas, since the passage of said last mentioned act, that
is to say, on the first day of Januarv eighteen hundred
and twenty-nine, an election was held in said church,
agreeably to the rules and regulations thereof, for the
purpose of choosing two elders to supply the places of
said Henry Ebaugh and Adam Burns, deceased, at which
said election Melcher Warner and Solomon Myerly,
both of Baltimore county, were duly elected: And where-
as it is desired by the said congregations aforesaid, to
wit, The German Reformed Congregation, and the Lu-
theran Congregation, composing said church, by the name
of Zion Church, to obtain an act confirming; said election,
and vesting in said Adam Shower, John Ritter, Melcher
Warner and Solomon Myerly, and their successors, or a
majority of them, by the name of The Elders of Zion
Church in Baltimore county, all the rights, powers and pri-
vileges, which ever were conferred on, and vested in, the
four elders named in the original act aforesaid, or their suc-
cessors, also confirming and making valid all the convey-
ances, leases and contracts, made by, or to, the said four
elders named in the original act aforesaid, or by or to the
survivors of them, at any time since the passage of said
original act, and prior to the passage of this act, any infor-
mality in the acts and proceedings of said elders, or of the
survivors of them, to the contrary notwithstanding; there-
Sec. 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Ma-
ryland, That the said Adam Shower, John Ritter, Mel-
cher Warner and Solomon Myerly, and their successors, or
a majority of them, shall by" the name of The Elders -of
Zion Church in Baltimore County, have and exercise all the
rights, powers and privileges, that ever were conferred on,
and vested in, the four elders named in the original act
aforesaid, or their successors, by means of said act, or by
means of the supplement thereto.

CHAP. 37.

Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That all conveyances, leases
and contracts, made by or to the four elders, so named in
the original act, or by or to the survivors of them, since
the passage of that act, and prior to the passage of this act,
be and the same are hereby confirmed and made valid, any
informality in the acts and proceedings of said elders,
or of the survivors of them, to the contrary notwithstand-
ing.
